Blood Tracking Dog Services

Midwest & Seasonal Western Tracking

Diesel The Deer Track’n Dog provides professional blood tracking services to help hunters recover wounded game ethically and efficiently.

Our trained tracking dogs follow the scent cocktail from the wounded game animal, including interdigital gland scent— not just visible blood.  Using a trained dog gives hunters the best possible chance of recovery, even on marginal hits.

We primarily serve the Midwest and offer limited seasonal big-game tracking in select western states during September.

Midwest Blood Tracking Dog Services

We provide blood tracking services in parts of Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Iowa. These states share similar tracking laws, allowing us to operate consistently and ethically across the region.

Our dogs are trained for:

  • Wounded whitetail deer recovery

  • Archery, firearm, and muzzleloader

  • Day or night tracking up to 48 hours after the shot

  • Marginal hits with little or no blood

  • Travel outside of this area is possible based on the individual circumstances - call us!

Seasonal Western Big-Game Tracking (September Only)

During September, Diesel The Deer Track’n Dog travels west to provide tracking services where legal in:

  • South Dakota

  • Wyoming

  • Montana

Western big game tracking often involves longer travel distances, sparse blood trails, rugged terrain, and rapidly changing weather. A trained tracking dog greatly increases recovery success in these conditions.
